There are many moving parts in college admissions – and we help you put it all together.

At Yeoyu, our philosophy is simple: you need to see students as whole human beings to support them effectively. As such, the advising we offer is individualized, comprehensive, and rooted in respect for students’ authentic selves:

  • College exploration and research: sharing detailed conversations about your academic profile, personal/professional interests, and financial need so that we can find schools that serve YOUR goals!
  • Writing coaching: brainstorming, drafting, and refining/finalizing so that your essays are authentic, detailed, and reflective of your best self!
  • Application guidance: providing the insight you need to navigate different admissions systems and working with you so that you can submit the best applications possible!
  • Financial aid support: working through FAFSA/CADAA and the CSS Profile, walking you through cost-of-attendance estimates, doing the math on financial aid offers so you know exactly what a school will cost, and supporting you in conveying special circumstances to financial aid offices if needed!
  • Organization: exploring and building systems to track deadlines, action steps, and the never-ending stream of emails/notifications so that you feel confident and capable navigating it all!
  • Study skills/strategies: celebrating your academic wins and digging deep into your academic struggles so that you build the skills to tackle rigorous coursework!
  • Socio-emotional support: recognizing that as much as your future matters, you and your well-being matter too, and finding ways to make this process sustainable, meaningful, and joyful!

We know each student and family’s needs will vary, and offer a range of service packages (including small-group advising and pay-by-the-hour)!
